Description

A rich and creamy Cajun Sausage Pasta with smoky andouille sausage, tender pasta, and a bold Cajun-spiced cream sauce. This one-pan meal is perfect for busy weeknights and ready in just 30 minutes!


Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne or rigatoni
  • 1 lb andouille or smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnis

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta – Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Brown the Sausage – Heat oil in a skillet, cook sliced sausage for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté Veggies – In the same pan, cook bell peppers and onions until softened, then add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Make the Sauce – Add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Cajun seasoning. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine Everything – Add cooked pasta and sausage, then stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust seasoning.
  • Serve & Garnish – Sprinkle with parsley and red pepper flakes. Serve hot!

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning for spice level.
  • Use smoked turkey sausage for a lighter option.
