Ingredients
Scale
For the Beef:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- ¼ cup water or beef broth
- 1 cup refried beans (optional)
For the Burritos:
- 2 cups cooked Mexican rice
- 4 large burrito-sized flour tortillas
- 2 cups Fritos (or Doritos)
- 1 cup warm nacho cheese sauce
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
- ½ cup sour cream
Instructions
- Cook the Beef: Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Stir in refried beans if using.
- Prepare Rice & Tortillas: Heat pre-cooked Mexican rice. Warm tortillas in the microwave for 30 seconds to prevent breaking.
- Assemble Burritos: On each tortilla, layer beef mixture, rice, Fritos, nacho cheese sauce, shredded cheese, and sour cream.
- Fold & Roll: Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito.
- Toast (Optional): Heat a pan over medium heat and toast burritos on both sides for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve & Enjoy: Slice in half and serve with salsa or hot sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use Doritos instead of Fritos.
- Make it spicier by adding hot sauce or jalapeños.
- Swap ground beef for turkey or a plant-based alternative for a healthier version.
