- 1 cup cornstarch or all-purpose flour

- ½ tsp black pepper

- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Honey Pepper Sauce:
- ⅓ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
For Garnish:
- Chopped green onions
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Extra black pepper or red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Coat the Chicken: Dip each piece into the beaten eggs, then coat with cornstarch or flour.
- Fry the Chicken: Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Make the Sauce: In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic, and lemon juice. Simmer, then thicken with the cornstarch mixture.
- Toss & Serve: Coat the crispy chicken in the honey-pepper sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
