- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup strawberry jam (or fresh strawberries, diced)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly dust your work surface with flour and roll out the puff pastry.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out 6-8 hearts from the pastry.

- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Spread a small amount of cream cheese mixture inside each heart.
- Add a dollop of strawberry jam or fresh strawberry mixture on top.
- Brush the edges of each pastry with beaten egg for a golden crust.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- While cooling, mix powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze, then drizzle over danishes.
Notes
- If using fresh strawberries, mix them with a little sugar and let them sit for 5 minutes.
- For extra crunch, sprinkle coarse sugar on the pastry edges before baking.
