Description

A light, fluffy no-bake dessert layered with creamy whipped topping, rich cream cheese, angel food cake, and a glossy strawberry glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 angel food cake, torn into 1-inch pieces

  • 1 (16 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup sugar, divided

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 (3 oz) package strawberry Jell-O

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 cup water


Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine ½ cup sugar, cornstarch, Jell-O, lemon juice, and water. Stir over medium heat until thickened. Cool slightly.

  • Fold sliced strawberries into cooled glaze.

  • Tear angel food cake into chunks. Mix with 2 cups Cool Whip and press into baking dish.

  • Beat cream cheese with remaining sugar and vanilla. Fold in remaining Cool Whip. Spread over cake layer.

  • Spoon glazed strawberries over cream layer.

  • Refrigerate for 2–3 hours or until fully set.

Notes

  • Use fully ripe strawberries for best flavor.

  • Let the glaze cool before topping to avoid melting the cream layer.

  • Dessert is best chilled overnight for clean slicing.
