Ingredients

¼ cup tomato paste

3 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

⅓ cup brown sugar (packed)

12 oz porter beer (or halal-friendly substitute)

6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Instructions

Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl.

Pour sauce into slow cooker. Add chicken thighs and beer. Stir gently.

Cook on LOW for 4 hours or until chicken shreds easily.

Remove chicken, shred with two forks.

Optional: reduce cooking liquid on stovetop to a glaze, then mix into shredded chicken.

Scoop into slider buns and top as desired. Serve warm.
