Description

Tender, juicy chicken thighs slow-cooked in a smoky, sweet, beer-infused BBQ sauce, then shredded and piled onto soft slider buns. Easy to prep, packed with flavor, and perfect for casual dinners or party appetizers.


Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tomato paste

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (packed)

  • 12 oz porter beer (or halal-friendly substitute)

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • 1820 slider buns

  • Optional toppings: pickles, slaw, cheese


Instructions

  • Whisk together all sauce ingredients in a bowl.

  • Pour sauce into slow cooker. Add chicken thighs and beer. Stir gently.

  • Cook on LOW for 4 hours or until chicken shreds easily.

  • Remove chicken, shred with two forks.

  • Optional: reduce cooking liquid on stovetop to a glaze, then mix into shredded chicken.

  • Scoop into slider buns and top as desired. Serve warm.
