- 1 (16 oz) package frozen pierogies (potato & cheese)
- 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Crumbled turkey bacon (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté kielbasa and onions until browned. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- In a bowl, whisk together sour cream, chicken broth, shredded cheddar, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Layer frozen pierogies in the slow cooker. Add kielbasa and onions on top. Pour the cheese sauce over everything and stir gently.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours until hot and creamy.
- Stir before serving and garnish with parsley and crispy turkey bacon.
