    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • ¼ cup light brown sugar
    • 2 large eggs + 1 yolk
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    • 2 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • 1 teaspoon red gel food coloring
    • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
    • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
    • ¼ cup butter (softened)
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 335°F (170°C). Line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter, then whisk with sugars until smooth.
  • Add eggs, yolk, vanilla, and oil. Stir until combined.
  • Mix in cocoa powder and red food coloring.
  • Fold in flour, salt, cornstarch, and vinegar. Stir until smooth. Add white chocolate chips if desired.
  • Pour batter into the pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Let cool.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until fluffy.
  • Spread frosting on cooled brownies. Slice into squares and serve.
