This Pizza Grilled Cheese is the perfect mashup of two classic comfort foods. With crispy garlic-buttered bread, gooey mozzarella cheese, and savory pepperoni, it’s a quick and easy meal that’s ready in 20 minutes. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a satisfying snack, this sandwich is customizable and delicious!

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 8 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
  • 12 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 oz turkey or beef pepperoni
  • ½ cup warm pizza sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  • Mix butter, Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to make the garlic butter spread.
  • Spread the butter mixture on one side of each bread slice.
  • Place one slice of bread (butter-side down) in a skillet over medium-low heat.
  • Layer cheese, pepperoni, and another slice of cheese, then top with another buttered bread slice.
  • Cover and cook for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, sprinkle Parmesan on the outside before grilling.
