Description
This old-fashioned goulash is a comforting one-pot meal made with ground beef, pasta, and a rich tomato-based sauce. It’s easy to prepare, packed with flavor, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prepping.

- 1 lb elbow macaroni
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 (15-oz) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (14.5-oz) cans diced tomatoes
- 1 ½ tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook macaroni until slightly underdone; drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, brown ground beef and onions over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
- Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and seasonings. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in cooked macaroni and cheddar cheese until melted.
- Serve hot with fresh parsley or extra cheese.
Notes
For extra flavor, add smoked paprika or red pepper flakes. For a healthier version, use whole wheat pasta or ground turkey.
