  • Author: Samia
  • Total Time: ~1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 68 slices 1x

Description

This Mississippi Sin Quiche is a rich and creamy dish featuring diced ham, sharp cheddar, and a tangy custard, all baked in a buttery pie crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 deep-dish pie crust (pre-made or homemade)
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Sauté the diced ham in a skillet over medium heat for 3–5 minutes to remove moisture. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and green onions. Mix well. Add the sautéed ham, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together sour cream, heavy cream, and eggs. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the ham and cheese mixture evenly in the pie crust. Pour the custard mixture over the filling.
  • Place the pie crust on a baking sheet and bake for 50–60 minutes, or until set and golden. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pie crust for a gluten-free version.
  • Substitute sharp cheddar with Gruyère or Swiss for a unique flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
