Description

This creamy and flavorful shrimp pasta features a rich garlic Parmesan sauce with sun-dried tomatoes, tender pasta, and perfectly seasoned shrimp. It’s an easy, restaurant-quality meal that’s perfect for date nights, special occasions, or weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 8 oz pasta (linguine, fettuccine, or penne)
  • Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency.
  • Serve with fresh basil or parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For extra spice, increase red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute chicken for shrimp if desired.
  • Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
