Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp garlic salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ¼ tsp chili powder

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

  • 1 lb beef or turkey bacon

  • 4 tbsp light brown sugar

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.

  • In a bowl, whisk together onion powder, garlic salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, and maple syrup.

  • Coat chicken breasts in the marinade.

  • Wrap each chicken breast with 2–3 bacon strips.

  • Place seam-side down on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

  • Remove from oven. Brush with pan juices, sprinkle brown sugar on top.

  • Broil for 3–5 minutes, until bacon is crispy and sugar is caramelized.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Use pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup.

  • For extra crispy bacon, use a wire rack during baking.

  • Chicken is done when internal temperature reaches 165°F.

  • Can be made ahead and frozen (cooked or uncooked).
