  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Slice chicken breasts into thin cutlets and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
