- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts into thin cutlets and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
