Description
A hearty, halal-friendly twist on the viral Italian Grinder Sandwich—turned into a bold, creamy, flavor-packed salad loaded with meats, cheese, and veggies.
Ingredients
Dressing:
- 
¾ cup mayonnaise 
- 
1 tbsp red wine vinegar (halal-certified or substitute with apple cider vinegar) 
- 
1 tsp minced garlic 
- 
⅛ cup grated Parmesan cheese 
- 
1 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning 
- 
½ tsp salt 
- 
¼ tsp black pepper 
- 
⅛ tsp red pepper flakes (optional) 
Salad:
- 
1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped 
- 
¼ cup sliced red onion 
- 
1 cup diced tomatoes (cherry, grape, or regular) 
- 
½ cup chopped pepperoncini 
- 
½ cup diced provolone cheese 
- 
½ cup chopped halal beef salami 
- 
½ cup chopped deli turkey 
Instructions
- 
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients until smooth. 
- 
Add red onion, tomatoes, pepperoncini, turkey, salami, and provolone to the bowl. 
- 
Top with chopped lettuce and gently toss to coat everything in dressing. 
- 
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. 
- 
Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving, or serve immediately. 
Notes
- 
For a lighter version, use low-fat mayo and reduce the cheese. 
- 
To keep lettuce crisp, add just before serving if prepping ahead. 
-
