  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup hot fudge sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Optional: ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the hot fudge sauce, leaving streaks for a gooey texture.
  • Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  • Let cool, then drizzle with extra hot fudge before serving.
