- 4 cups water (for baking soda bath)
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Coarse salt for topping
Instructions
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil, then knead for 7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.
- Divide dough into 8 pieces, roll into ropes, and shape into pretzels.
- Boil each pretzel in a baking soda bath for 30 seconds, then place on a baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter and enjoy!
