- Pancakes:
- 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 2½ tablespoons maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Eggs:
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Sausage Patties:
- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- Optional Additions:
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the sausage patties: Shape ground sausage into four patties and cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes per side. Set aside. Cook bacon (if using) until crispy.
- Make pancake batter: Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and maple syrup. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Cook pancakes: Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet and pour ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form, flip, and cook until golden. Repeat to make eight pancakes.
- Prepare eggs: Whisk eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook ¼ of the mixture in a non-stick skillet with butter, folding into a square. Repeat for four folded eggs.
- Assemble sandwiches: Place a sausage patty, egg, and optional bacon and cheese between two pancakes. Serve warm.
