Ingredients
Scale
For the Dough:
- ¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
- ¼ cup softened butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate the yeast: Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Make the dough: Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Prepare the filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Roll the dough: Roll out the dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix, and add blueberries.
- Shape the rolls: Roll the dough into a log, slice it into 10-12 rolls, and place them in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls and enjoy!
Notes
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before adding to the dough.
- Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before glazing to prevent the icing from melting too much.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
