Description

These Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls are soft, gooey, and bursting with juicy blueberries in every bite. Made with a fluffy homemade dough, a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling, and a silky vanilla glaze, this recipe is perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
For the Dough:
  • ¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
  • ¼ cup softened butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Activate the yeast: Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • Make the dough: Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Prepare the filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Roll the dough: Roll out the dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix, and add blueberries.
  • Shape the rolls: Roll the dough into a log, slice it into 10-12 rolls, and place them in a greased baking dish. Let them rise for 30 minutes.
  • Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Make the glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls and enjoy!

Notes

  • If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before adding to the dough.
  • Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before glazing to prevent the icing from melting too much.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
