Ingredients

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 4 cups green beans (canned, frozen, or fresh)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1⅓ cups French fried onions, divided


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Prepare green beans (drain canned, use frozen as-is, blanch fresh).

  • In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce.

  • Stir in green beans, pepper, and half the fried onions.

  • Pour into greased baking dish.

  • Bake for 25 minutes, then top with remaining fried onions.

  • Bake another 5–10 minutes until golden and bubbly.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium soup or soy sauce to reduce salt.

  • Add sautéed mushrooms or garlic for extra flavor.

  • For extra crunch, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
