Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup white wine (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a small baking dish.
  • Sauté shrimp: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add shrimp, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
  • Prepare sauce: In the same skillet, add white wine and let it reduce. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Assemble: Place shrimp in the baking dish. Pour the sauce over the shrimp, then sprinkle mozzarella and panko breadcrumbs on top.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for a crispy topping.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with bread, pasta, or rice.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • To make it spicier, add more red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute white wine with chicken broth for a non-alcoholic option.
