Galaxy Swirl Cheesecake: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe

  • Author: Lauren Baker
  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients

For the Crust:
– 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
– ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
– ¼ cup granulated sugar

For the Cheesecake Filling:
– 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 3 large eggs
– 1 cup sour cream
– ¼ cup all-purpose flour

For the Galaxy Swirl:
– Food coloring (blue, purple, pink)
– 1 cup whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Follow these steps to create your own Galaxy Swirl Cheesecake:

1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. Make the Crust: In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
3. Bake the Crust: Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool.
4. Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
5. Add Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
6. Mix in Sour Cream and Flour: Stir in the sour cream and flour until smooth.
7. Add Colors: Divide the cheesecake mixture into three bowls. Color one bowl with blue food coloring, another with purple, and the last with pink.
8. Layer the Colors: Pour spoonfuls of each colored batter into the center of the crust, alternating colors to create a swirling effect.
9. Swirl: Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl the colors together without fully mixing them.
10. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the center is just set.
11. Cool: Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour. Then, remove it and let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
12. Chill: Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
13. Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream if desired.
