Ingredients
For the Sugar Cookies:

1 cup salted butter, cut into cubes

1 cup granulated sugar

1 whole egg

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)

2 tsp baking powder

3 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

1/2 cup salted butter, at room temperature

8 oz cream cheese, at room temperature

1 lb powdered sugar (approx. 3 3/4 cups)

1 tsp vanilla extract
For Topping:

Fresh fruit: berries, kiwi, banana, mandarin oranges, grapes, peaches, etc.
Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.

Prepare Dough: Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix well. Gradually add flour and baking powder until a dough forms.

Shape & Chill: Roll dough into 3-tbsp balls and flatten slightly. Chill for 5 minutes before baking.

Bake: Bake cookies for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.

Make Frosting: Beat butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Frost & Decorate: Spread frosting over cooled cookies. Decorate with fresh fruits and chill before serving.
