Description

French Onion Beef Sliders are the ultimate crowd-pleaser! These irresistible mini sandwiches combine tender roast beef, sweet caramelized onions, and gooey smoked cheddar cheese, all baked to perfection on soft Hawaiian rolls. With just 30 minutes from start to finish, they’re perfect for game days, parties, or an easy dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 2 sweet onions, sliced
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (or other slider buns)
  • ¾ lb deli roast beef (shaved)
  • 8 oz smoked cheddar cheese, grated
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp all-purpose seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice rolls horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms intact. Place bottoms on a baking sheet.
  • Layer roast beef, caramelized onions, and cheese over the rolls. Place tops back on to form sandwiches.
  • Melt remaining 1 tbsp butter and mix with garlic powder, onion powder, and seasoning. Brush over tops of rolls.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Caramelize onions low and slow for the best flavor.
  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
  • Hawaiian rolls are the best, but you can substitute with slider buns or dinner rolls.
  • For extra crispness, broil the sliders for 1–2 minutes after baking.
