These French Dip Sliders are loaded with roast beef, provolone cheese, and caramelized onions, baked to perfection with a buttery topping and served with savory au jus. Perfect for parties or casual dinners!

- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp fresh thyme, minced
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 12 sweet rolls (e.g., Hawaiian rolls)
- 10 slices provolone cheese
- 14 oz deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 1½ tbsp dried onion soup mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 3 cups water
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Caramelize onions in butter, then season with thyme, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice rolls horizontally and place the bottoms in a baking dish.
- Layer cheese, roast beef, onions, and more cheese over the rolls, then add the tops.
- Mix melted butter with onion soup mix and brush over the rolls. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Prepare au jus according to package instructions and serve alongside warm sliders.
Notes
- Substitute provolone with Swiss or mozzarella cheese for variety.
