  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk (110°F)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Yeast:

    • Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it foam for about 5 minutes.

  • Make the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, mix milk, sugar, egg, 1/4 cup melted butter, salt, and 1 1/2 cups flour.

    • Add the yeast mixture and mix well. Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.

  • Knead the Dough:

    • Knead for 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.

    • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).

  • Shape the Rolls:

    • Punch down the dough and divide it into 72 equal pieces.

    • Roll each piece into a ball and place three balls per greased muffin cup.

  • Second Rise:

    • Let rise for about 45 minutes until doubled in size.

  • Bake:

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

    • Brush with remaining melted butter.

  • Serve:

    • Enjoy warm with butter or honey butter!

Notes

  • Make sure to use warm (not hot) water and milk to activate the yeast properly.

  • Store rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
