For the Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or vegetable oil
For the Hot Honey Glaze:
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a wire rack on a baking sheet. Lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: flour, beaten eggs, and crushed cornflakes mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip into eggs, and finally press into the cornflake mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on the prepared wire rack, ensuring they are not touching.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- While baking, mix honey, hot sauce, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
- Once the chicken is done, immediately brush with the hot honey glaze.
- Let it rest for a few minutes and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For extra crunch, double-coat the chicken by repeating the egg and cornflake step.
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the hot sauce.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best results.
