Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Pasta:

    • 12 ounces bowtie pasta (farfalle)

    • Salt (for pasta water)

  • For the Meat and Sauce:

    • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

    • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

    • 3 cloves garlic, minced

    • 1 ½ cups beef broth (or chicken broth if using turkey)

    • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or mozzarella cheese (or a mix of both)

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • For Garnishing:

    • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Cook the Meat: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef or turkey, cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Add onions and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook for another minute.

  • Make the Sauce: Add beef broth, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.

  • Melt the Cheese: Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.

  • Combine Everything: Add cooked pasta and mix well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

  • Garnish and Serve: Top with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • To make it lighter, use ground turkey and half-and-half instead of heavy cream.

  • Customize with veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers.

  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
