Crab Rangoon: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe for 4

  • Author: Lauren Baker
  • Total Time: 5 minute

Ingredients

– 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
– 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned)
– 2 green onions, finely chopped
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon soy sauce
– 1 package of wonton wrappers
– Vegetable oil (for frying)
– Sweet and sour sauce (for dipping, optional)

Instructions

Follow these simple steps to create perfect Crab Rangoon:

1. Prepare the Filling: In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce until well combined.
2. Set Up Your Wonton Station: Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Ensure your other wrappers are covered with a damp cloth to prevent them from drying out.
3. Fill the Wrappers: Place about 1 teaspoon of the crab filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
4. Seal the Wontons: Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Carefully fold the wrapper in half, forming a triangle. Press the edges firmly to seal. For a fancier look, you can fold the corners up and pinch them together.
5. Heat the Oil: In a deep-fryer or a large, heavy pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
6. Fry the Crab Rangoon: Carefully place a few wontons at a time in the hot oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes, until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking.
7. Drain and Cool: Remove the fried Crab Rangoon with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
8. Repeat: Continue frying the remaining wontons until all the filling is used up.

With these steps, you can expertly create snacks that are sure to impress anyone!
