  • 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 12 ounces penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook pasta al dente, drain, and set aside.
  • Spread pasta in the baking dish, layer with shredded chicken, and pour marinara sauce over the top. Season with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly over the dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, melted butter, and oregano. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
