Description

This Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and savory dish that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, and ranch-seasoned sauce with rotini pasta. A comforting and family-friendly recipe that’s quick, delicious, and perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Bacon: Fry bacon in a skillet over low heat until crispy. Drain on a paper towel and chop; reserve drippings.
  • Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Sear in reserved bacon drippings until golden and cooked through. Rest and chop.
  • Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce: Melt butter in the skillet, sauté garlic, and stir in flour to create a roux. Gradually add half and half, then whisk in ranch seasoning. Stir in cheese until melted.
  • Combine: Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce. Stir gently to coat and heat through.
  • Serve: Plate and top with chopped bacon and parsley.

Notes

  • Cheese Swap: Replace cheddar with mozzarella or Parmesan for a different flavor.
  • Vegetable Additions: Add steamed broccoli or peas for color and nutrients.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
