- ½ cup butter (softened)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Make the brownie batter: Whisk together melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, then mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Spread into the pan.
- Make the cookie dough: Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla, then mix in flour and baking soda. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter and gently press down.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cookie layer is golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool before slicing into squares.
Notes
