Description

Ingredients

  • Ciabatta bread (rolls or loaf, sliced ½-inch thick)

  • Fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • Ripe tomatoes, sliced (¼-inch thick)

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Sun-dried tomatoes (optional)

  • Balsamic glaze

  • Optional: pesto, baby spinach or arugula, red pepper flakes, Calabrian chile paste


Instructions

  • Slice ciabatta bread using a serrated knife.

  • Rinse and dry basil leaves.

  • Slice tomatoes and let them rest on a paper towel.

  • Layer mozzarella, tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil on one slice of bread.

  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze to taste.

  • Add any optional ingredients.

  • Top with the other slice of bread and serve immediately or toast as desired.
