  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
  • Optional toppings: pickles, shredded cheese, coleslaw

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Toast hamburger buns and spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto each bun. Add optional toppings and serve immediately.
