- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns (toasted)
- Optional toppings: pickles, shredded cheese, coleslaw
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Toast hamburger buns and spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto each bun. Add optional toppings and serve immediately.
