- 2 ribeye, New York strip, or filet mignon steaks
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Let steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Pat dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
- Sear steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Reduce heat to medium and add butter, garlic, and fresh herbs. Baste the steaks with melted butter for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve hot with extra Cajun butter drizzled on top.
