Description

Buffalo cauliflower bites are a crispy, spicy, and healthier alternative to traditional buffalo wings. They are coated in a flavorful batter, baked or air-fried until golden brown, and tossed in tangy buffalo sauce. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party dish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • ½ cup water or unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (or olive oil for vegan)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) or oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Add the cauliflower florets and toss to coat evenly.
  • Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket or on a lined baking sheet.
  • Air Fryer Method: Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy.
  • Oven Method: Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway for even crispiness.
  • In a separate bowl, mix buffalo sauce and melted butter. Toss the crispy cauliflower in the sauce until fully coated.
  • Return to the air fryer or oven for 5 more minutes to seal in the sauce.
  • Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing, celery, and carrots. Enjoy!

Notes

  • To make it extra crispy, add ½ cup panko breadcrumbs to the batter.
  • If you prefer a milder version, mix buffalo sauce with a little honey or Greek yogurt.
  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in an air fryer for 5 minutes.
