Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 8 oz ground sausage
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups frozen shredded hash browns
  • 1 egg + 2 tbsp heavy cream (for egg wash)
  • 4 slices Havarti or cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet, cook sausage until browned. Stir in flour, then slowly add milk and black pepper. Stir until thickened. Set aside.

  • Place the second puff pastry sheet on top and seal edges with a fork.
  • Brush with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
