- 1 cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)
- 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- Filling:
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Activate yeast in warm milk with 1 teaspoon of sugar for 10 minutes.
- Mix yeast mixture with sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Roll out dough into a 16×12-inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and top with blueberries.
- Roll into a log and cut into 12 rolls. Arrange in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise for 30–45 minutes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Use fresh blueberries for optimal flavor. Thaw and drain frozen ones to avoid excess moisture.
- Assemble the night before, refrigerate, and bake fresh in the morning for convenience.
