- 6 oz (170g) egg noodles
- 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup (56g) butter
- 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
- 1 1/4 cups (300ml) milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup (60g) sour cream
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook egg noodles until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and whisk in flour to make a roux. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Gradually add beef broth and milk, whisking constantly until thickened. Simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Season sauce with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked beef and noodles until coated. Remove from heat and mix in sour cream.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley if desired.
