Baked Apple Fritter Bites are a lighter, mess-free version of classic apple fritters. These spiced, apple-packed bites are baked to golden perfection and finished with a caramelized apple cider glaze. Perfect for fall gatherings or a sweet snack any time of year.

For the Fritter Bites:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1½ cups finely diced Honeycrisp or Gala apples
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Apple Cider Glaze:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ⅓ cup + 2 tablespoons apple cider or apple juice
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Batter: Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add egg and applesauce, stirring until smooth. Combine dry ingredients in another bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients. Fold in diced apples.
- Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of batter onto the prepared sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
- Prepare Glaze: While baking, whisk powdered sugar and apple cider until smooth.
- Glaze and Broil: Brush baked bites with glaze and broil on high for 2–4 minutes until caramelized. Brush with remaining glaze.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool for 15 minutes to set the glaze. Enjoy warm!
