Description

These air fryer apple fritters are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with fresh apple and cinnamon flavors. They are a healthier alternative to deep-fried fritters and come together in just 15 minutes! Perfect for a quick breakfast or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt

For the Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and line the basket with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the diced apples.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the air fryer, keeping space between them.
  • Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the warm fritters. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crunch, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar after air frying.
  • To make gluten-free, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
